In life, Rose suffered immensely, and she bled from the wounds she bore from the crown of thorns. She and those who believed in her prayed in honor of the Precious Blood of our Lord. Red cord was blessed in honor of the Precious Blood of Christ. This cord was cut into small pieces and became small crosses which were taped to backings and passed out as relics. The cord had been blessed in honor of the Precious Blood, and were referred to as “Precious Blood Cord”. Many prayed this small prayer frequently to obtain graces, not only of healing, but of faith and pardon for one’s sins.
